How this unscrambler works

Type the letters on your rack and this tool checks every possible arrangement against a 168,000+ word dictionary (the ENABLE word list), from 2 letters up to 15. Use ? for each blank tile — it can stand in for any letter. Turn on "Anagram mode" if you want to use every tile you entered, or leave it off to see shorter words you can build from a subset of your letters too.

Reading the tiles

Each result shows its Scrabble letter score in the corner. Turn on "Sort by score" to put your highest-value plays first within each length group — handy when you're deciding between two words of the same length. Use "Starts with," "Contains," or "Ends with" under Refine results to narrow a long list down to words that fit a specific spot on the board.

Built for every word game

One dictionary and rack tool, several ways to use it.

Scrabble

Enter your rack, turn on "Sort by score" to see your highest-value plays first, and use a blank (?) for each blank tile you're holding.

Words With Friends

Letter values shown match standard WWF/Scrabble scoring, so the same rack search works for both games without adjustment.

Wordfeud & similar tile games

The word list and blank-tile logic apply the same way — just note that some tile games use different point values than the Scrabble scores shown here.

Text Twist, Jumble & anagram games

Turn on "Anagram mode" so every result uses all of your letters — exactly what these games are asking for.

Crossword helper

Know some of the letters already? Use "Starts with," "Contains," or "Ends with" under Refine results to match a partially-filled grid.

Word Cookies & letter-swipe puzzles

Drop in the letter cluster shown on screen and set a minimum length to skim past 2 and 3-letter fillers.
